Fees & Insurance
I provide a free initial 20 minute phone consultation. This is not a therapy session, but rather a discussion of your hopes and goals, and a chance to talk and see if we are a good fit. If so, I will provide intake paperwork.
Individual Therapy (53 minute session): $175
For children under the age of 14, a full session may be 43 minutes with the child and 10 minutes with the child and parent, at a rate of $175 for the full 53 minutes.
I do not currently accept insurance but can provide a superbill upon request.
NOTE: I provide both in-person and telehealth (video and phone) services.
Psychological & Educational Assessment
I provide strength-based assessments for children, adolescents, and young adults to help clients gain an understanding of their needs and skills. FAQ
Q: How do I get started?
A: First, fill out an interest form. Next we will schedule a free Google Meet consultation with Becca, during which we will get to know one another a bit and together, determine the scope of the evaluation. From there, we can schedule the evaluation sessions.
Q: What do evaluation sessions entail and how many are there?
A: Typically, there will be 1-2 evaluation sessions (mixture of in-person and virtual depending on the scope). During those sessions we commonly administer cognitive, academic, social, and executive function measures, as well as conduct a clinical interview. We will also interview parents (if applicable) and send questionnaires to teachers, parents, or to you as an individual.
Q: How much does an evaluation cost?
A: Assessment services costs $225/hr. In total, typical costs range from $2,250 to $3,600. Depending on the complexity of the referral question, hours vary, and this is just an estimate. When the assessment plan is developed, a good faith estimate will be provided.
Q: What is included in the hours for evaluation?
A: Cost includes hours in the in-person evaluation sessions as well as interviews, questionnaires, and scoring, interpreting, writing up the results, and a therapeutic feedback session. Evaluations are often between 10 and 16 hours. When the evaluation is done, you receive a written report with results, diagnosis (if any), and treatment recommendations based on best-practice in school psychology and counseling as well as tailored to yourself/your child. This includes accommodations for school or workplace, as applicable. After the initial intake, you will be provided with a Good Faith Estimate.
Q: Do you bill insurance?
A: I do not currently bill insurance. I offer a superbill after services are complete and paid in full. You will need to contact your insurance provider directly to determine if they reimburse for superbills, assessments, and out of network master’s level clinicians. Evaluations for academic or intellectual giftedness are frequently not insurance reimbursable.
Q: Why do people choose you for evaluation?
A: I am a nationally certified school psychologist who spent 15 years completing school based educational assessments and supporting students with various learning and social emotional needs in the school setting. Since leaving the school system, I have continued to support clients and families via my therapy practice as a licensed professional counselor. I offer a neurodivergent-affirming approach to assessing autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and mental health. I utilize research-based assessments and knowledge combined with an affirming, client centered approach. I feel the evaluation process should be empowering and therapeutic and offer direct feedback to the client (and family if the client is a minor) at a developmentally-appropriate level. My direct knowledge and experience with the school systems enable me to provide meaningful enactable recommendations.
